ohohoh, this is the project ive been working on and I'm pretty excited about the idea. in general, its about building a more structured way of showing appreciation for people that gift, help, or serve us in society. I feel like the world is not appreciating each other enough and we could use more love in the world.
it all was caused by comparing the transit system in London Ontario and Toronto Ontario. It's weird, people in London will say thanks but in Toronto no one every says thanks, well much more rarely. it might be cause of factors of population, culture, or e.t.c. i think it's culture. changing the culture about being appreciated is important!
another idea I had was that money was not the only way that people are satisfied. don't get me wrong, money buys ALOT of things but I believe we could also be payed in other aspects such as fulfillment. how many people in this world do services which do not get the recongization that they deserve. a lot. from uber drivers, food deliver, packages, mailman, and the list goes on. i think that if there were more systems to let people connect with people and the service, people will send messages of their impact on their life, showing their love and appreciation to that person.
in essence, I want to build a company around this idea of showing appreciation for people, organizations, or others. by connecting people who serve us in society, to the consumer we can build a more connected society not just surrounding money but impact, fulfillment, and appreciation. Of course, this is pretty early stages and their is a lot of nuance around this idea. I do live the thought of it.
one part which is pretty important to me, is that the appreciation must be focused on the individual. i feel like in group settings, it is less impact to feel the appreciation in groups compared to feeling individual. maybe it's the main character effect or feeling that YOU made the difference. but, I believe it's important to know why we care and why do things outside of the economic gain. so, hopefully, in the near future my product can be of use even to 100 people. this is really exciting and I'm hoping to do make a difference in people, charities, or anything is good nature!
